ABOUT US

I am a researcher and lecturer at Sussex University in the Department of Sociology. I teach courses in gender studies and research methods. I have researched lots of topics over the years like teenage parenting, decisions about having children, asexuality, gender and health behaviour and communication in prisons. I also do ongoing research with universities about how they can develop to become more equal and caring places to study and work.

I am a researcher and lecturer at Sussex University in Gender Studies. I teach courses in feminist and social theory and supervise undergraduate, MA, and PhD projects. With Liz, I am doing ongoing research on how to improve students’ and staff experiences of universities as places to study and work. I have also done a lot of research on sexual violence, and on movements such as #MeToo which focus on this issue.
